The AWPCS is a certification scheme that ensures wood packaging material produced in Australia meets the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures Publication No. 15 (ISPM15) standard for exports. ISPM15 is the guideline for regulating wood packaging in international trade. It is first international commodity-based standard, and it establishes criteria for regulating the use of wood packaging material used in international trade.
